No More Dreams Of John Terry At Eastlands
During the January transfer window, the cash cows from the blue half of Manchester targeted many players, and an unlikely name that sprung up was apple of the Pensioners eye, John Terry.
It is believed that Eastlands tried their best to lure the England international with all their financial might, but the player laughed off any possibility of a move away from the Bridge. Still the rumours persisted, and were poised to go the direction of another link with the Citizens, but the City boss Mark Hughes has quashed any talk of a prospective move.
Presently, it has been reported that the Welshman has said that any manager would be interested in Terry, but he cannot envision the player propping up on the market anytime soon. He went on to say that an exchange of players, Terry for Robinho, was never a part of the plan.
While this piece of news is not something that one could not have anticipated, but it comes as another blow to City, who must learn that money alone cannot turn them into a great club, and not all great players are lured by the colour of the banknote. However, considering the amount of cash they have in the coffers, smart management will see them being a force to reckon with in a few seasons time.
