Liverpool revived their chances of the Premiership title as they slapped an emphatic 4-1 defeat to Manchester United. While it was Man U who opened their account through Ronaldo in the 23rd minute, Liverpool equalled through Torres in the 28th minute. Since this equaliser, the misery for the home side began as Gerrard scored in the 44th minute to take half time score to 2-1.

Fourth spot holders Arsenal washed off Blackburn rovers 4-0 in a totally one side match. Fulham defeated Bolton 3-1 in a good match that saw many missed chances for the wanderers. Till half time the match was tied at 1-1 but the Fulham boys came back full force after that. Everton defeated Stoke comfortably 3-1 as Stoke couldn’t do much to fight off relegation.
In a match that saw too many bookings, Hull and Newcastle drew 1-1. Another draw was seen between Middlesbrough and Portsmouth. This match saw Bates being sent off in the 77th minute. To complete a great footballing Saturday, Wigan defeated Sunderland 2-1.
Today, Chelsea will meet Manchester city while Aston Villa face off with Spurs.
