Can you do us a favour Wigan?

After outclassing Manchester City in the derby on Sunday, Manchester United need only four points from three games to win the Premier League again.

United have 83 points from 35 games, while we have 80 points from 36 games.  United meet Wigan on Wednesday, and Arsenal on Saturday, which means the title race could be over by the time we travel to the Hawthorns on Sunday.

If Wigan manage to upset SAF’s men, then Arsenal’s youngsters might be in with a chance on Saturday. If Wigan lose, I really can’t see Arsenal being able to beat United in the form they currently are.

Can you do us a favour Wigan? Beat United on Wednesday. It is tough I admit, but I think Steve Bruce would very much like the idea of beating his former manager.

BTW, the  new Liverpool 2009-10 away shirt releases on Wednesday.

I hope it is better than the grey one we wear currently.

Here is hoping for the best.

Ciao :)

Edit – Wigan tried really hard, but United somehow got the three points they wanted.

Great finish from Rodallega for Wigan’s opener, and an even better strike from Carlos “the substitute” Tevez for United’s equaliser.

Michael Carrick’s first away goal for Manchester United sealed three points for the Red Devils, and Steve Bruce was once again left ruing what could have been.

Would United have scored the second if N’Zogbia had not been taken off? When N’Zogbia was taken off, Rodallega switched to the left, and he was caught unawares by John O’Shea’s run into the box. By the time Rodallega ran into the box, it was too late. O’Shea flicked it into the path of Carrick, who took full advantage of the space given to him to score the winner.

Here is hoping Arsenal can do something on Saturday, but looking at their current form, I’m not too optimistic.

BTW, I love the new kit.
