The jigsaw of the league tables is complete in all the leagues, and we now have the finished picture before us.

The three clubs from the Premier League that have fallen prey to the axeman are Newcastle United, Middlesbrough, and West Bromwich Albion. It will be interesting to see if any of them can make it back to the top anytime soon, since the Championship is known for its highly competitive nature.

Down in the second tier, three teams advanced to announce their appearance into the Premier League next season. The first is Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C, a club with a great history that dates back to over a century. The Wolves had their share of ups and downs through the season, but managed to comfortably win the title and advance to the top flight as winners of the second tier.

It was unclear until the last game of the season as to which team would advance as the second club to directly promote from the second last step in the English league ladder. That accolade was taken by Birmingham City, who beat Reading in the last game to seal an adventure in the zenith of English football.

The final team to make it out of the Championship is Burnley, who took down Reading, and then Sheffield United, to book their ticket out into the cream of the clubs for the first time in 33 years.
