Point to prove for Turkey and France – June 5th
After a good showing in the Euro 2008 by Turkey, they have earned a reputation for themselves in football. On the other hand, France, one of the bigger names in European football had failed to impress and will be looking for a good showing as they host the Turkish players in an International friendly on 5th June.
France will be relying on the recent good form of Nicolas Anelka who scored the maximu goals in the English Premier League for his club Chelsea. The star striker along with midfielder Patrick Viera will hold the key for the French team. Florent Malouda, Franck Ribery and Patrick Evra will also be playing and constitute the formidable French side. Tuncay Sanli and Nihat Kahveci will be the two to keep in check for Turkey.
The other two teams playing on the same day are Czech Republic and Malta. Petr Cech, their goalkeeper is the one who has been struggling for some good form. Tomas Rosicky, the recent call up might be captaining the team after Ujfaluši quit after being banned along with 5 other players. Malta are surely the underdogs in this game and the Czech guys will have the upper hand.
