Brazil and AC Milan superstar Kaka is having a medical ahead of a proposed world record £56 million transfer to Real Madrid. Madrid representatives headed to Brazil were Kaka is currently on international duty, ahead of Brazil’s clash with Paraguay on Wednesday night. The AC star still could stay in Milan with President Silvio Berlusconi desperate for the star to stay at the San Siro. The Italian Premier is hoping to hold talks despite the fact that the player is currently undergoing his medical.
Kaka could become the first signing of new president Florentino Perez’s second reign in charge at the Bernabeu. The president has ambitious plans for his second spell with other top players being targeted to compete with all conquering Barcelona next season. Other names on Perez’s list include French star Franck Ribery, who according to reports in Germany is unsettled at Bayern Munich. Real however, face tough competition for his signature from Barcelona and Chelsea.
Another player that the Real president is hoping to attract is Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo. The World Player of the Year has been constantly linked with a move to the side from the Spanish capital. However United have already stated that they don’t want to sell and it will be hard to prise away the Portuguese star.
A player that is believed to be available is Wigan’s Antonio Valencia, who Real have already made a £16 million bid for, but they face stiff competition from Manchester United who have matched Real’s bid. The Ecuadorean is set to choose between the two sides or may decide to stay with the side from Lancashire.
