The much-awaited fixtures for the Premier League are finally out, and some clubs will silently grumble with what they have been served as the starter, while some others will say that there is no such thing as an easy game in the English top flight.

Birmingham City will be given a ‘red’ carpet welcome into the league of extraordinary clubs, when they face a club that is arguably the most popular all over the world. To add to the misery, the Blues will play at the daunting Old Trafford.

Arsenal will have to fire right from the word go, since they will be travelling to Merseyside and will face Everton at Goodison Park. This will be an interesting encounter, since the Gunners fired a few blanks on their way to a fourth place finish last season. Everton were the FA Cup finalists, and will be keen to embark on a quest to dethrone one the big four. David Moyes will know that there is no better way to begin a season than with a victory against one of the top clubs in the country.

Here are the fixtures for the first round of the Premier League, which begins on the 15th of August.
