Didier Zokora goes to Sevilla

Didier_Zokora_shot Ivory coast Midfielder Didier Zokora has been signed by Sevilla for an undisclosed amount. While Sevilla boss had insisted till last week that the deal was off but Jose Maria Del Nido signed the final agreement on Wednesday.

Zokora has been signed for four years from Tottenham Hotspurs. The 28 year old has played 134 matches for Spurs and is highly awaited at Sevilla. He was their main transfer player this year as Sporting director Ramon Rodriguez Verdejo pointed out.

It is unknown how much the Spurs are getting for the player but it is estimated that it will much more than what they paid French club St Etienne when Zokora joined them in 2006. He had been signed for ₤8.2 m three years back after a good world cup showing. While the player will be presented formally next week, the signing amount still remains a mystery.
