Strike the Rumours – John Terry to stay with Chelsea

Chelsea have dismissed all claims of John Terry’s alleged move to Manchester city. After news of a ₤30 million offer from the Manchester club started doing the rounds, the club affirmed that the star defender was ‘not for sale’.

Earlier this week, newly appointed coach, Carlo Ancelotti had shunned a Terry move and now a formal announcement from the club just about seals the rumours. The club have added that ‘the Captain doesn’t want to go anywhere and Chelsea don’t want him to go’.

Terry has had 272 outings with the Blues and has captained them to two Premier League titles, two FA cup wins and two league cup successes. This is the second time that Manchester City have made an offer for Terry after making an unsuccessful one in 2008.

John Terry, who is on a holiday currently has kept quiet on the controversy so far.
