No longer interested in Eto’o: Man City
Manchester City have ended their interest in Barcelona’s star striker Samuel Eto’o. The former has made a ₤25 Million bid for the Cameroon International and rumours were ripe after Barca were also prepared to let him leave. But the wait and watch game has ended as the player could not make up his mind. City finally gave up as the deal couldn’t be completed.
This is the second international player City have missed since they lost in the bid for Kaka. The club had reportedly made a ₤100 Million bid for the Brazilian before he opted to stay at AC Milan but later transferred to Real Madrid. The deal thrown to Eto’o was very lucrative too with a wage promise of £250,000 per week. This would have made him the highest paid player in the world. But his indecision made the Eastlands Club give up their interest.
The Catalans have reportedly offered Eto’o a two year extension contract.
