Mikel confirms Chelsea Deal, Drogba set to sign too
John Mikel Obi has committed to a five year deal with Chelsea, his current club. The midfielder joined Chelsea in 2006 from Lyn Oslo and will now be here till 2014. Mikel has been a known face in the Blues side and this deal will ensure that he is a common sight in the midfields at Stamford Bridge from now on.
The Blues, reportedly, will also be signing a new 3 year old contract with star player Didier Drogba. The irreplaceable Ivory Coast striker along with Anelka has been the backbone of the Chelsea line up. The 31 year old showed his class in the Inter Milan friendly on Tuesday as well when he scored the first goal.
Drogba has played 216 times for Chelsea and scored 94 goals. Further news about the Blues suggested that Captain John Terry will not be leaving London. Megabucks City have been targeting him for sometime but he has finally confirmed that he is not moving to Manchester City.
But one player who seems set to leave the West London club is Andriy Shevchenko. The Ukranian was on loan to AC Milan but is with Chelsea for the bit. He will, reportedly, leave them and Chelsea have signed 19 year old Daniel Sturridge in his place.
