Bolton Wanderers – Sunderland Premier League Preview
Steve Bruce will face the first competitive game of the season as Sunderland manager after impressing with Birmingham City and Wigan Athletic.
After managing to avoid the drop last season, the influx of money has been the Black Cats buy a few relatively big name players. This should aid their cause and make the squad believe that they can beat Bolton in their own backyard.
However, the Trotters have brought in defensive reinforcements and even have Paul Robinson on loan for a season. But the visitors have the cure in the form of Darren Bent and Fraizer Campbell, but it is unclear as to how well the partnership is, since both are new arrivals with the club.
The Black Cats will need to put out a good performance, while the Whites will expect to start the season well.
