Wolverhampton 0-2 West Ham – Reality bites for the Wolves

wolvesThe Wolves got a show of things to come as they played their first match of the Premier League against West Ham. Cheered enthusiastically by a home crowd at Molineux, The Wolves boy, Nenad Milijas tried some long shots but failed to trouble West Ham keeper Robert Green.

Mark Noble was the first scorer of the match when he curled one in the 22nd minute. Milijas had some fierce shots at the post in the second half before Mathew Upson headed one for West Ham in the 69th minute. It was Carlton Cole who set up the header for his Captain as he played a cross to his central position.

Sylvain Ebanks-Blake had to be sent off in the second half after getting injured and the Wolves had to fight the remaining battle with 10 men. Green shined for the West Ham side as he saved some very good shots at the goal. It was a shaky start for the Wolves but this is a reality check for them to spruce up. Most of their guys are new and they need to brace up for their next outing!
