Manchester City v Wolves – Adebayor scores in City win

Manchester City kept their winning start as they beat Wolves 1-0 through an Emmanuel Adebayor strike in the 17th minute. The lone goal of the match was set up by Carlos Tevez who showed the class that he had displayed last season at his former club Manchester United.

Playing at Eastlands, City created many chances and could’ve had many more goals if it hadn’t been for some excellent keeping from Wolves’ Wayne Hennessey. His counter part at City was equally brilliant when he saved a Mark Jarvis hit in the first half which could’ve easily equalised. Unlike the last match, City started with Tevez this time who brought a fresh leash to the game and kept the momentum going for his team mates. With a fancy line up of strikers, Manchester ‘Megabucks’ City are now also close to a deal woth Everton defender Joleon Lescott. He should be able to add some power to their defiance’s and make City a formidable force this season. The match was watched by City’s Abu Dhabi owners along with the board of directors.
