Tottenham have continued their good form with a 2-1 victory over West Ham at Upton Park. The first half was goalless, but the game came alive in the second half. Spurs had to come back from a goal down after England striker Carlton Cole struck a stunning effort in the 49th minute.

Cole went from hero to villain in the 54th minute, as he played a back-pass towards Robert Green, only for fellow England striker Jermain Defoe to latch on to the ball and score his fourth goal of the season.

Tottenham left it eleven minutes from the end to find a winner, Aaron Lennon curling a fantastic effort in to the far corner of the net. The victory makes it three wins out of three games for Tottenham in the Premier League and they currently find themselves sitting top of the fledgling league table.

West Ham however look desperately in need of reinforcements and boss Gianfranco Zola has revealed he is hunting a striker. He has also had to contemplate life without striker Dean Ashton, who according to reports has had to retire from football due to injury.
