Chelsea trump Spurs emphatically

In what was being touted as a high profile game turned out to be a one sided affair as Chelsea defeated fellow London club Tottenham Hotspurs 3-0. The match saw both teams having their fair share of chances in the beginning. But as Ashley Cole used a Didier Drogba cross pass to net a goal, Chelsea seemed to get the dominance in the field. The Blues have a clean record now of 6 wins from 6 matches and head the Premier League table.

After half time, it was totally Chelsea in the field as they also seemed more confidant in their game play. Michael Ballack was in scoring action after long as he gave Chelsea the second goal as they went up 2-0 soon in the second half. In the 63rd minute, Didier Drogba sealed the fate for the Spurs as he scored a third goal for the hosts. Chelsea have not lost to the Spurs at home since 1990 and their class showed. The formidable dominance in the second half showed why they are so strong at home.
