Chelsea Move to the Top of Group D with 4-0 Win

Chelsea came out of a disappointing weekend in the Premier League at Villa Park with an emphatic 4-0 over Athletico Madrid at Stamford Bridge.

The attack from the Londoners in their Group D encounter was relentless, as Ivory Coast International, Salomon Kalou scored in both the halves. Lampard scored one of the other goals, whereas Luis Perea scored an old goal to end what was a miserable day for the touring side.

With this victory, the Blues move to the top of their group and are almost certain to qualify.

Elsewhere in Bernabeu, AC Milan scored a huge 2-3 victory over Real Madrid, as the home side was unable to take advantage of an early lapse by Brazilian International, Dida.

Raul moved to the top of the Champions League goal scoring list when he took advantage of a casual collection from Dida.

However, Alexandre Pato scored a brace in the game with one coming as a winner in the 88th minute and saved blushes for his teammate Dida.
