Manchester United Breaks CSKA Streak over English Clubs with a 1-0 Win

Manchester United played magnificently in tough condition, as they came out as victorious side after a hard fought 0-1 victory over CSKA Moscow in the Luzhniki Stadium.

With the home side having four-game streak over English opposition (including Arsenal) without a loss, it was almost certain that they would produce an upset over the Runners Up team from last year.

However, Sir Alex Ferguson’s men, after a few hiccups in the beginning, got the control of the game and won it with a late goal from Antonio Valencia.

This win has helped the Red Devils to reach the top of Group B and now, they will be more or less certain to make it to the next stage. Again, it will also give them a huge boost ahead of an all-important clash against a struggling Liverpool side at Anfield.
