The Blues Maintain the Lead but the Reds Falter


Chelsea 4-0Bolton managed well in their match against Chelsea, until the dying minutes of the first half but Jlloyd Samuels challenge earned him a red card and a penalty for Chelsea and Lampard made no mistake converting it before the break. The Blues dominance continued with an extra player and pure quality all over and goals kept coming in the second half with Deco making a top quality finish with the second one, Ivanovic forcing the third one of a corner and Didier Drogba scoring the fourth. Chelsea retained the top position with 27 points.

Meanwhile, the Reds faltered, squandered and lost the game conceding two red cards. Before the break, things were nicely settled with Fernando Torres managing the equalizer through a brilliant return shot of Voronin’s header.  Philip Degen and Jamie Carragher saw red cards and Fulham managed to score again after the second half through Eric Nevland with a fine back heel and Dempsey earned the winner later on to clinch it 3-1. Earlier Bobby Zamora scored and answered back at his critics. The Reds decline to the fifth spot with 18 points

Meanwhile Stoke City and Wolves ended a 2-2 thrilling encounter at the Staffordshire derby match.
