Arsenal eased past Dutch club AZ Alkmaar after their attacking prowess left the visitors little or no chance of securing a result at the Emirates Stadium.

Samir Nasri came back from injury and put in an excellent performance that saw him dance past two defenders and score. Abou Diaby added another to seal yet another superb performance from the north London club.

However, their concentration slipped towards the end, and Jeremain Lens scored a consolation goal for the travellers.
