Henry admits to Hand Ball – FIFA need to comment

It’s a shock and disbelief for many of the supporters and Irish fans where Ireland’s hopes were dashed after the equalizer by William Gallas. Before crossing the ball Thierry Henry was seen to handle the ball twice which was not observed by the sideline officials and resulted in the equalizer.

Giovanni Trapattoni was utterly disappointed after the match where he has expressed his dissatisfaction and disbelief about the incident not being noticed in due time. Trapattoni said that it is a practice that is taught in the primary schools where handling the ball is considered an offence and fair play is encouraged. Trapattoni also said and expressed later that he would have borne a defeat in a penalty shootout rather than being dumped out by the controversial equalizer.

Things were bitter as Henry later agreed to the hand ball incident which only infuriated some fans while broke a lot many hearts. This incident would not be forgotten in a little while as Ireland could have pulled out a major shocker. It’s a big controversy and will die down soon enough as Henry have confessed and it was a blatant handball after a clear replay. However Football’s highest body, Fifa has not yet given any details or views regarding this. But The Irish Justice Minister has already pushed this incident by stating that they are the minnows and hence they have to face the injustice and the ideal justice would be a rematch.
