Irish replay request rejected by FIFA

A board meeting this afternoon called by Ireland’s FAI has been called to discuss request for replace of the Playoff with France. However it has been announced recently that FIFA have rejected their earlier request.

In a response to a request made by the FAI yesterday, the world governing body have ruled that the result cannot be changed, saying that “decisions are taken by the referee and these decisions are final“.

The FFF ( French Football Federation ) had completely rejected the idea from the off. I wonder if Platini has a hand in that!

Over at Ipswich , Roy Keane – Irelands golden boy for a number of years has said that the handling was completely wrong by the FAI.
