Chelsea has once again proved their dominance in the Barclay’s Premier League and they continue thrashing opponents. The Blues thrashed Premier League new comers, Wolves 4-0 where they dominated the match throughout and went 3-0 up as early as the 22nd minute.
Michael Essien scored twice and Florent Malouda scored once inside the first 22 minutes to give Chelsea a 3-0 lead where the squad was full of injuries. After the break, Joe Cole scored the fourth goal of the match after about 13 months for Chelsea. The result means Chelsea are on top and in a convincing manner.
Meanwhile, the Gunners had a shock defeat at the hands of Sunderland which was least expected. This was one rare occasion where the Gunners failed to score even a single goal. It was Darren Bent’s frustration until he scored the only goal of the match in a header through a corner and reacted quickly to push the rebound.
This ended a five match defeat streak for Sunderland and Steve Bruce would be hoping this result as a turnaround. This result means that the Gunners remain at 25 points from 12 matches. But Arsenal did not have any threat for the position as both Liverpool and Manchester city were locked with a draw.
