Berabatov to stay out for three months due to injury?
Manchester United’s striker Dimitar Berbatov will undergo knee surgery for a ligament problem which will rule him out for three months. The Bulgarian footballer has been playing with the ligament problem for some time now and the surgery seems inevitable now. Though he might decide to avoid the knife right away but soon the surgery will be announced.
To solver the knee problem, Berba will have to do decide on the surgery dates soon and these might be in the next few matches itself. He has sustained this season with the knee pain and it has become over due now. So avoid any long term problem, reportedly, he has decided not to impend the issue for too long. The Berbatov surgery followed by his absence from the United team will mean more woes for Sir Alex Fergusson.
Fergie’s boys are currently facing a lot in the Premier League and Berbatov’s lay-off is the last thing they need. His place in the team might be filled by Michael Owen who currently comes in as substitute.
Another player who’s operation news were doing the media rounds off late was Liverpool’s Fernando Torres. It was being said that Spain, his national side was insisting on the striker undergoing the surgery to cure his long nagging groin problem so he be fit in time for the World Cup. But Anfield sources have suggested that Torres is not going to get the op any time soon as he isn’t keen on it right now. This might be a sigh of relief for Rafa Benitez whose boys are going through a rough patch right now. They heavily depend on Torres and Steven Gerrard and either of their absence would mean doom for Liverpool.
