Vidic going the Ronaldo way?

After Ronaldo hinted that he wanted former Manchester United team mate, Wayne Rooney in Real Madrid, it seems he might be joined by somebody from his former club soon. Nemanja Vidic is on the wish list of Real Madrid this season and it seems they are willing to bid £20million for the central defender.

The Serbian has been the main stay of the United defense for three years now since he joined them from Spartak Moscow. Man U took him on for £7million and he has proved worth every penny for them. His defensive play along with Rio Ferdinand matches the best defense team in the world.

Though United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is not very keen on giving up Vidic, he seems to be informed that Real president Florentino Perez is an adamant man and always gets the players he desires. Fergie seems to be looking for other defenders to make up if Vidic exits and Portugal defender Bruno Alves is the main guy in consideration. Reportedly, Alves is looking for a summer move and Man United might leap at the opportunity.

Former Fergie target, Palermo’s Danish defender, Simon Kjaer has decided to stay back in Italy making Alves the main target.
