New lows for United: Dumped out of FA Cup by Leeds

In a time when all is not going well for Manchester United, they were dumped out of the FA drastically by a League One side. Leeds put up a spirited display and defeated the former Premier League Champs 0-1 at Old Trafford.

Sir ALex Fergusson was one of the first people to critisize his side as he admitted that the rivals played very well and deserved the win while his side played badly. But he did something else that he has already done earlier many-a-times and that was critisizing the referee for not enough injury time.

This is the first time since 1984 that United have been defeated by lower league club, the last defeat coming at the hands of Bournemouth. For the visitors, Leeds, this was the first victory since 1981 at Old Trafford.

Jermaine Beckford was the one to score in the 19th minute and give his side much to rejoice. Beckford also got an injury towards the end of the match. Their were intermittent disputes between players throughout the match. The United team had its stalwarts in Wayne Rooney and Dimitar Berbatov on the field and have no one but themselves to blame now.
