Ferdinand to be back for United-Hull match tonight

Manchester United will be spurred on by the return of Rio Ferdinand as they face Hull city in a Premier League encounter tonight. Ferdinand has had a long lay-off due to a back injury but has been declared fit and will be seen in action at Old Trafford.

Dimitar Berbatov has also recovered from a dead leg and will be seen in action while Nemanja Vidic will be absent due to a calf injury. United will emerge at the top of the League if they win tonight. Though they will have played one match more than current Leaders Arsenal and two more than second placed Chelsea.

This match will be seen as an opportunity by Man United to redeem their esteem after their shock defeat to Leeds in a FA Cup match. Their fragility was further highlighted by the loss to Manchester City in tuesday’s Carling Cup semi-final. So this is the time for them to get back show the mettle they’re made of.

Hull sit in the danger zone and will go to Old Trafford with a positive outlook. They have nothing to lose and will know at the back of their minds that 3 points gained will get them out of the relegation zone.
