It’s Rooney all the way at Old Trafford!

Wayne Rooney was in unbeatable form as he scored all four goals in Manchester United’s win over Hull City in their Premier League match. This win also gave them the top spot of the table with 50 points while Hull sank further in their danger zone misery.

Rooney’s first goal was a rebound after Paul Scholes’s shot was beaten off in the 8th minute. A Nick Barmby kick was sent out wide by Edwin Van Der Sar and that was the only time the goalie was troubled. Other than that the match saw excellant showing from Ferdinand coming back after a 3 months lay off.

At half time the score read 1-0 and the last minutes of the match saw Rooney get his three goals. The second came in the 82nd minute after Rooney was given the ball when Nani’s free kick was waded off. 4 minutes later he was back in action through a Nani cross to complete a hatrick. It was in injury time when he clocked in a low shot from close to seal a 4-0 win and an excellent 4 goals for himself.

United now go on top of the Premier League table but have played one match more than second placed Arsenal and two matches more than Chelsea, third placed.
